In 2004, in Baoji, this piece of hot land full of vitality, Baoji Xinnuo Special Material Co. After 20 years of precipitation, our company from a small workshop-type factory development into a national specialty, specialty and new "small giant" enterprises, is now one of the country's human implantation of titanium and titanium alloy materials suppliers, products accounted for more than 25 percent of the Chinese market, becoming one of the three major bases in China. Melting is the first process of titanium material. Reporters in the workshop, witnessed the titanium sponge into titanium ingot magic journey. Just see the titanium sponge was 4500 tons of presses pressed into a piece of electrode block, and then through the plasma welding, imported ALD vacuum melting furnace melting casting and other processes, and finally formed a titanium ingot. Medical titanium requires extremely high purity, in order to remove the impurities inside, we have to melt the titanium ingot three times to ensure its composition is uniform.

Accompanied by the staff, the reporter went to the plate workshop, where the workers are busy at their respective workstations, some doing surface treatment of titanium ingots, some grinding titanium plates, and some straightening titanium rods. In the warehouse, titanium rods, plates and wires are classified and stored. The surface of the material is marked to indicate the size, batch number, specification, material and standard of the plate or bar, which makes it easy for users to trace back to the root.

In addition, the reporter was led to see the titanium production of bone splints, joint handles, intramedullary nails, hemostatic forceps and other products neatly arranged in the display case in the warehouse. The person in charge of the company said: "Do not underestimate this titanium, and our company's cooperation with the company, the production of medical products have covered eight series of hundreds of specifications".

Innovation is the driving force for the sustainable and healthy development of an enterprise. Xinnuo has three main characteristics in its operation:

  1. Spare money on scientific research, the average annual investment in research and development costs accounted for 4% of sales revenue;

The company has independently developed high-performance high-precision medical titanium, biomedical ultrasonic knife tip materials, TC4 flexible intramedullary needle materials, surgical implantation of antimicrobial titanium alloy materials, low elastic modulus titanium alloy materials, dental titanium zirconium alloy materials and other products, to fill the gaps in the domestic market, and has achieved a number of scientific research results.

Among the many self-developed products, the supply of the company's self-developed ultrasonic knife has reached 10 tons. "Ultrasonic knife is an emerging advanced minimally invasive surgical instruments, titanium alloy is the ideal material for ultrasonic knife head, but the domestic medical ultrasonic knife material mainly relies on imports.In 2019, the company acted as a professional and excellent technical research and development team to open the curtain on the development of Ti6Al4V Eli titanium alloy wire for ultrasonic knife. Under the repeated research of the scientific research team, the first generation of products completed mass production in 2021, and completed clinical verification in some hospitals in Hubei.In June 2022, the invention patent was obtained. The product in 2023 has completed the technical performance of the material, process optimization, characteristics comparison and other key research and development links, the second generation of products have also completed the market verification.

In addition, in 2023, the company developed dental titanium-zirconium alloy rod and wire material, which filled the gap of titanium-zirconium alloy implant in the domestic market and achieved the localization of dental implants. After the company's efforts to break the technical bottleneck, to help customers provide more choices and reduce corporate production costs. At present, the first batch of products has been completed delivery, the second batch of products process is being adjusted and optimized, is expected to complete delivery in May this year.
