Titanium is the most widely used biomaterial for dental implants. And it is recognized for its excellent osseointegration ability, but in some cases, its mechanical strength or corrosion resistance is insufficient. This is particularly evident in scenarios requiring downsized implants or in harsh corrosive environments, such as those containing chlorides or fluorides. To improve the performance of titanium implants, titanium-zirconium binary alloys have emerged as promising candidates for implant applications, especially under these demanding conditions.
The new material Titanium-Zirconium(TiZr) for dental implants of XINNUO is reasearched as per the above needs . The combination of these two metals leads to a material with a higher tensile and fatigue strength than comparable titanium implants.
Mechanical tests have proven that TiZr is actually stronger than titanium grade 4. Our material combines high mechanical strength with excellent osteoconductivity. Tensile strength of this material can reach above 950MPa.
